Maria Bella Jewelry. feminine beauty

For those who loves jewelry of clear, simple, yet sophisticated lines and accents I present you Maria Bella Jewelry. She uses gemstone beads and crystals in her creations. While she mainly uses silver plated metal or sterling silver, but you can also find some lovely jewelry made with brass and pewter. Maria likes the clean look of pearls and silver. Subtle combination of floating bird with dangling white pearls creates very feminine and classic look.  I could not help but notice that she uses fauna elements a lot, mostly birds. Those little creatures put me in some poetic mood.  I would call her jewelry dreamy and feminine.
Lately Maria Bella decided to challenge herself and list one new item everyday. You go girl! This is what I call determination! Can’t wait to see more of her new works. And here are some of my favorites:

Don’t forget to visit Maria Bella Jewelry Etsy shop and her blog

AND THE WINNER IS...

Well, well, well…. who is that lucky girl with aching fingers (you were keeping fingers crossed haven’t  you?) who won custom made crocheted gloves? It’s Annemarie! Congratulations!
I have send a letter containing all information needed how to get the prize, please check your e-mail (and spam box too, you never know). In case I don’t hear from the winner in five days, I will choose another winner by random selection.

The winner was selected randomly. I made it old fashion way and here’s how to do it:

1. Print the e-mail addresses of the participants on a sheet of paper you like (this time it’s light yellow color)

2. Cut the list in to pasta like pile
3. Use a beautiful dish, it’s a special occasion after all! Could not find a bowl, so I used some old or vintage  plate I’ve received as a present

4. I’ve put on an unfinished new design glove for better luck, matching the paper. It is not  a necessary step though
5. Choose the winner (do not look!)

It took some time to do all that stuff but it was fun!

Cheer up you guys, there’s going to be more giveaways on my blog! International as always and serious as usual. So don’t cry and check back from time to time.

Curious about survey results? I will share this little secret with you in my next post!

Cute and funny LoveElycia

Do you want mustaches to grow on your head? I think not. But wearing a headband with a mustache on it can be fun!
And you don’t need to say “Hello” to people you meet, it’s already written on your head!

The first time I visited LoveElycia shop of my fellow etsian and a BESTeam member, I thought “this is fun!”. The thing I like about LoveElycia is that she looks like a cheerful person you could hang out all day and have time of your life.

A headband with “hello” greeting is a great conversation starter, you will be noticed in this peace for sure! And if you want to say something else than “hello” Elycia will make custom headband for you!
And now you can have mustaches even if you’re a girl. And no, it’s not below your nose, it’s on your head! Though you still can wear it anywhere it fits.
I love bows and in LoveElycia shop you will find the color that suits you.

Come visit LoveElycia shop on Etsy

I was really amazed by Elycia’s set up at the craft show. Very colorful and unique! Felted muffins in a baking tray and two little Blythe helpers, ha ha! Check it out yourself:

I'm against genetically modified food

I've signed a petition on GM food until research is done. Here's more information:

The European Commission has just approved growing genetically modified crops in the European Union for the first time in 12 years!

Caving to the GM lobby, the commission has ignored 60% of Europeans who feel we have to get the facts first before growing foods that could pose a threat to our health and environment.

A new initiative allows 1 million EU citizens to make official legal requests of the European Commission. Let's build a million voices for a ban on GM foods until the research is done; they will be delivered to the President Barroso of the European Commission. Sign the petition and forward this email to friends and family:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/eu_health_and_biodiversity/98.php?CLICK_TF_TRACK

Consumers, public health, environmental and farmers groups have long rallied against a few international GM companies having such significant influence over European agriculture. Concerns about growing GM crops include: contamination of organic crops and the environment; their impact on climate due to the excessive need for pesticides; the destruction of biodiversity and local agriculture; and the effects of GM food on public health.

EU member states have voiced strong opposition to last week's decision to authorise BASF's potato and Monsanto's maize -- Italy and Austria are opposed, and France said it would ask for further scientific research.

There is still no consensus on the long-term effects of GM crops. And it is the GM industry, pursuing profits not public well being, that is funding the science and driving the regulatory environment. That is why European citizens are calling for more independent research, testing and precaution before crops are unleashed onto our land.

Now, the "European Citizens' Initiative" gives 1 million EU citizens the opportunity to submit policy proposals to the European Commission and offers us a unique chance to drown out lobbyists' influence.

Let's raise 1 million voices to put a moratorium on the introduction of GM crops into Europe and set up an independent, ethical and scientific body to research and determine the strong regulation of GM crops. Sign the petition now and then forward it widely:

The Spring is here! Is it? Is it?!

Just take a look what I saw this morning after yesterdays blizzard! Well, the snow have been here for days, but today there's even more snow and the trees are sparkling covered with frost.
Could not come out and take a closer look, because I have much to do today. It's 14 °F (-10 °C). Doesn't seem very Spring like to me! It's always like that in Lithuania. We enjoy the REAL Spring (no snow, warm weather) only at the end of April. I'll have to wait for it to come...

HUNGRY? Craft for food!

I'm a proud member of Etsy Street Team with funny name Will Craft For Food (WCFF). The team has it's own blog which is curated by Moody Girl.
Probably as all (almost all lol) team members I'm unemployed and every time I hear strange noises in my stomach I know I have to craft... for food. Here's what WCFF blogs curator seas about the idea of the team:

The Spring Fair in Vilnius

I love fairs! The one I especially like is Kaziukas fair. These are the fresh pics made this weekend.
Kaziukas fair is annual event in Lithuania. It brings a lot of joy for citizens and tourists every spring. The fair has been running for more than 400 years!
It's a great opportunity for local artist to come out and show what they have created during long winter season. You can find here: clay pots, sculptures, wicker baskets, blacksmith creations, handmade clothes, natural beer, food etc. etc.
I could not take pictures of all the great stuff because the fair was huge and it was so cold that day, my hands and camera were freezing. I was also carrying my baby girl all the time so there's no way I could walk all through it. I hope you enjoy the pics! Click the pictures to enlarge.
